Maldives Visa Information
Surprisingly, all visitors, regardless of country of origin, may be granted an entry permit to stay in the Maldives for 30 days, provided that they meet the following requirements:
They must have a valid international travel document, such as a passport.
A return ticket or a ticket for the continuation of the journey is needed, along with any and all visas or permissions required to enter the country of arrival.
Visitors have to prove that they have either US$30 per person per day or a confirmed hotel booking.
These entry permits are issued at the arrival point and do not require a prior application or a fee. The final decision about whether to allow a person to enter the Maldives rests with the immigration official at the airport. If transit passengers end up staying in the Maldives for longer than 24 hours, they must change their entry permit accordingly in cooperation with immigration authorities.
